Friday, 29th July sees the return of Mardons Social Club's popular Showcase night. This time three bands unite for a powerful line up and as always entry to this packed night of entertainment is totally free.

Some audiences just don't have the bottle - it's a bold claim from impressive band The 4th Suit... Hailing from Bath, Box and Chipenham, they are loud, in your face and they are a band not to be ignored!!!

They write and perform original songs that deal with angst, lust and anger, but not the bratty teenage kind, the real thing!

Songs from The 4th Suit contain real emotional bile, delivered with passion! This doesn't mean the songs lack melody, there are tunes to be had ,in these songs, hummable, shoutable and downright catchy tunes, but they're certainly never twee!!! Punky, melodic, witty and full of attitude! Listen to their tracks at:

Bristol's, Mind Museum return to Mardons with their alternative punk rock, urgent guitars and emotionally wrought vocals. With influences froms Biffy Clyro, The Cure, Nirvana and  The Police, Mind Museum have created something brand new, perfectly crafted, produced and polished without losing any heart, soul and rawness. In a short time they have made an impact on the Bristol music scene earning much respect with their debut ep and stunning video "Rat Race". Find out more at: www.mindmuseum.co.uk

Opening the night will be talented local lads, The Pineapple Thursdays, a three-piece band from Binegar, Peasedown and Holcombe. Playing an intricate mix of rock, alternative and pop, they have been writing their own original material since the band's formation in April 2010. Taking inspiration from Muse, Radiohead and Reel Big Fish, The Pineapple Thursdays are going from strength to strength, securing local gigs, as well as recording tracks.
