Celebrating 2012 in and around Midsomer Norton

How will you be ringing in the New Year? Here's what's happening in and around Midsomer Norton.

Mardon Social Club is hosting a family New Year's Eve party and Prattens in Westfield welcomes families to its karaoke and disco.  Tickets are £2 members, £4 non-members under 16s £1, and must be accompanied by an adult. To book call 01761 410159.

Welton Rovers will be holding a disco and buffet from 7.30pm until late. Tickets are available at the bar for £5 members, £7 non-members and children £2. To book call 01761 412097. Next door at the Midsomer Norton Social Club, the Track Band will see in 2012.

The Centurion Hotel is hosting a 70s/80s disco for adults only on New Year's Even. Tickets are £15 and includes food. There will also be a family party at the hotel. Tickets costs £15 adults, £7 children. To book call 01761 417711.

In Chilcompton the Somerset Wagon will host Snowies Disco and Karaoke at 9pm and it  will feel like the Wild West at The Redan Inn with its Cowboys and Indians fancy dress party.

Paulton will ring in the new year with the Kings of Clubs playing at the  Rovers Football Club. Doors open at 7pm. Tickets are free to members and non-members over the age of 14 £6 with under 14s free while there will be a free buffet and karaoke with Xena at The Lamb in from 9pm.

In Radstock, Benny Vee makes an appearance again, but this time will be performing at the Working Men's Club. For more details phone 01761 434612 and there will be 

music and singing from Doddsy from 8.30pm at the Tyning Inn. 

The Star Inn at High Littleton gets in the party mood with an Old School Fancy Dress Disco with music by Soul Train. To book call 01761 479766.

    Interesting that you should use the phrase "ringing in". I hope to be doing precisely that, using church bells!
    Unfortunately it will not be in Midsomer Norton as I am away to see in the New Year.
    Anyone interested in taking up this ancient "sport", please contact a local tower.
