Well after making and seeing several comments about Midsomer Norton needing a cinema, it looks as if we're going to get one at the end of March.

Thanks to funding from a bid put together by the Bath Film Festival,  the town will now get to enjoy a double bill treat one Saturday afternoon each month in the Town Hall.

The community cinema will feature classic and contemporary films and popcorn and ice-cream will even be served.

So will you use the community cinema? And what films would you like to see there?

Great idea I shall look forward to going to the pictures. What a pity our own cinema the Palladium could not be reopened. I am sure that it would take a great deal of money to get it in wording order but what a good thing for our town to have a cinema again.

Sorry Hayleysev, but the community cinema will only take place one Saturday afternoon a month. But who knows if it is well supported maybe it will take place more often.
