November Dominos Pizza in Midsomer Norton saved the day and donated free pizzas
to a local skittles group for disabled young people. The group, run by Time2Share, meets monthly at the Dolphin Inn in Welton. Area co-ordinator Sarah King said "We are
very grateful to Dominos for this generous donation. We usually have a cooked meal but the pub
kitchen's are closed for re-furbishment so we were at a bit of a loss. Fortunately, Dominos Pizza stepped in and
delivered free pizzas for all the young people at the group. They really enjoyed their cheese fest! As a charity we are always working to a tight
budget, so donations such as these enable us to continue providing fun activities
for disabled young people in the area."
In addition to running social groups the charity organises a
befriending scheme which recruits local volunteers to spend time with a
disabled child or young person, going out together, doing an activity they both
enjoy, whilst giving a few hours break to their carers. They
are currently recruiting volunteers of all shapes and sizes in Bath and
North-East Somerset. To find out more
information on how to volunteer with Time2Share and put more fun into YOUR life please telephone
Sarah on 0844 3575 192 or visit the website www.time2share.org.uk.
