Sales at Bath Riverside have gone so well that the latest building on the Liberty Gardens phase has just been launched ahead of schedule.

Called Highgate, it comprises a selection of 54 studio, one and two-bedroom apartments plus 18 one, two and three-bedroom penthouses.

In addition, a number of stunning duplex penthouses are also available providing panoramic views out across the River Avon and the world heritage city.

With sales at the development already topping 100 it has meant the build programme has had to keep pace with the demand. It's resulted in a massive transformation of what was a derelict industrial site into an area where people can now live and enjoy their leisure time.

Susan Young, sales and marketing director at Crest Nicholson manager said: "The launch of Highgate is great news for house hunters wanting to move into a new property in the city. Now that prospective buyers can see for themselves the quality of what's on offer it has resulted in an increase in interest.

"It also enables house hunters to really get to understand what Bath Riverside is all about.

"Because the area had been left derelict for so long a lot of people from across the region hadn't really been here for a long time. But now that the development is coming out of the ground and a new community has been born, it has resulted in a renewed level of interest.

"The development has already appealed to a wide range of buyers and Highgate will be no different with its variety of property sizes and styles."

On the site of the famous Stothert & Pitt, Engineers and Founders, the 44-acre development has been described as being the most important project the world heritage city has seen for more than 100 years, providing new homes and facilities that better reflects the needs of the city.

With shared communal gardens, herb and sensory gardens and play areas, the sense of community at development has already started to flourish.

Helped by the mix of property styles, types and sizes as well as the private courtyards, landscaped seating areas and contemporary design, it has attracted an assortment of buyers from first timers, downsizers and professional couples.

The landscaped riverside, which has now been completed, leads down to a newly constructed riverside walk and has opened up the area allowing for easy, traffic-free, access to the city centre and for the public to experience and enjoy.

Its proximity to Bath city-centre is ideal for those who either work in the city centre or need to catch a train further afield and with easy access to the riverside and its pedestrian towpath those wanting a direct and car-free route into the heart of the city can be there in a matter of minutes.

Susan added: "Riverside living is all about a lifestyle, not only do you have everything on your doorstep, the views are fantastic and there is a growing sense of community at the development."
