Johny's Day Out Return to Mardons (3rd June)

Johny's Day Out will be performing the next Showcase night at Mardons on Friday, 3rd June. After having backed the showcases from the offset, the band members have been regular attendees at popular alternative music nights hosted at the Social Club, enjoying the array of bands that have played.

It has to be said that Johny's Day Out have come a very long way in a few short years. From their triumphant win at the Somerset Guardian's Battle of the Bands competition they haven't faltered in progressing and evolving to now hold status as one of the areas leading bands. Musically tight without sounding over rehearsed, they seem to be able to conquer any song and weave it into a set that can please the toughest of crowds. Now securing gigs at all the major local venues, they are also using their success to support some very worthwhile causes, most recently alongside Yellowgroove and youngsters The Kaos Theory, at the WISH charity night.

Its all credit to them that whilst performing covers of some of the great songs from all eras, they can seamlessly slot in their own truly well crafted songs without losing any momentum, in fact their loyal support positively wait for those original tracks! With an ever growing set list and endless enthusiasm Johny's Day Out are a feel good party band with bags of talent. Entry to their showcase is free and as always, all ages are welcome.
