Midsomer Norton Community Festival takes place Saturday

Has anyone seen much information about the Midsomer Norton Community Festival which is taking place this weekend?
What was formerly known as Mardi Gras, will take place this Saturday but I gather it will no longer have bands playing on stage near the Town Hall.
The festival will start at 9am and run until 6pm with a parade through the High Street at 5pm.
If you're taking part let us know, and gives us your views on the festival, especially if you think the changes were worthwhile.

Give it time...I think the recent improvements will sway some opinions and you're always going to have someone who doesn't want to see any change. Today I saw the dolphins getting a hair cut....and no doubt they will be looking 'blooming' lovely by the weekend!

ReportSuch a shame not to have the live bands, they encouraged people to hang around rather than just pass through and it gave bands a chance to get their music heard - not sure it'll have the same atmosphere this year but good luck to them - they seem to have a lot of unnecessary oposition to what they are doing for the community - its a shame more people can't get behind it.
