People in Midsomer Norton woke up to a light sprinkling of snow today, and weather forecasters are predicting more freezing temperatures for the rest of the week.
The winter has finally arrived in Somerset and other parts of the UK, and some weather warnings have been issued.
Parts of the West country and Wales were covered in snow last night. The Met Office has said there could be severe cold weather until Thursday.
Paul Mott, a forecaster with MeteoGroup, said earlier today: "There has been a sprinkling of snow overnight over parts of Wales, Devon, Somerset and Hampshire.
"It has mainly been over hills - with accumulations of up to 5cm in some areas - but there have also been some falls on lower ground locally.
"There will be some fairly wet snow falling over the hills of Gloucestershire, Somerset and south Wales this morning but it will struggle to settle so shouldn't cause too many transport problems."
Last winter Midsomer Norton was hit by days of snow, disrupting roads and public transport, and closing local schools.

There was steady snow at Bristol Airport last night, but it did not settle and there was no impact on flights with everything operating as normal today.
Elsewhere in the UK snow up to 6cm of snow fell overnight on Dartmoor and Exmoor while around 10cm of snow fell on high ground in areas of Wales, according to the Met Office .
Parts of Gloucestershire and Wiltshire have also seen snow.
