Somer

Valley FM is increasing its coverage of local events and is looking to expand

the production team responsible for sports. Local sport has been covered on the

community station since it started in 2009. Tuesday's sports show carries

regular reports from the areas football, rugby, cricket and tennis clubs. The

show is currently hosted by Greg Jones, supported by regular contributors Ian

Nockolds and Eloise Davis, with technical support provided by Luke Barnes. The

station also has the Midday Magazine, airing 12-1pm weekdays, which covers all

aspects of community activity including news of local sporting events.

The

Sports team is looking for contributors, reports, presenters and production

staff. This role is perfect for anyone with an interest in sports broadcasting

or an involvement with one of the Somer Valleys local sports clubs. As with all

volunteers the station will provide encouragement and training.

If you

are interested in joining a well established team, becoming a part of the Somer

Valley FM family of over 170 regular volunteers, then contact Station Manager,

Dom Chambers on 01761 411755 or at manager@somervalleyfm.co.uk

Tune in

to the Sports Show, Tuesday's at 6pm, online at www.somervalleyfm.co.uk or on 97.5fm.
