Midsomer Norton residents commuting to Bath can expect major traffic delays over the next months.

Yesterday Wessex Water began its extensive sewerage-improvement work at the double mini-roundabout  in Radstock's town centre. This work is  in preparation for an upgrade to the town's road scheme which is expected to take six months and will start on March 19.

B&NES says the contractor will phase the works to minimise disruption.

Do you travel to Bath often? Let us know how the delays are affecting you...vent your road rage here!

I'm really dreading my trip into Bath tomorrow....sounds like I need to leave at least two hours for the journey just to get through Radstock. But then again..Radstock won't get flooded and they're gonna get lots of new houses.....hope they sell!

It took me 35 minutes to 'drive' from Somervale Road by the junction of Welton Road to the mini roundabouts on Monday, and that was at 10am during half term!

You would expect a bit of a delay, but 35 minutes is just astonishing

Then just to add to the fun I got stuck for another 10 minutes behind a rubbish truck on Frome Road.

So 45 minutes in total to travel about a mile.

We ,my wife and I ,do a lot of walking, and walked down the A367 to Radstock on Monday last, congestion of the traffic stretched from Westfield school to the road works in Radstock. We turned left and witnessed traffic jams all the way back to MSN.AS we walked through Radstock we saw a few traffic cones put out on the road , so that the work lorries could PARK, but each lorry had two workmen sat within drinking tea, and without a care in the world. What I would like to know is "WHO IS RESPONSIBLE" for all the disruption that this causes to everyone. There must be SOMEONE sat in his office.
ANYONE KNOW, All the aggro we will have to put up with ,when they MOVE IN to mess around with the roads of radstock, When all people want is a Flyover to cope with the main Bath to Exeter flow of traffic. Planners dont have a clue.
