Welcome to the American Museum
Housed in the grand Claverton manor on the outskirts of the Georgian city of Bath, the American Museum was opened to the public back in 1961 as is a fascinating look at the historic ties between the United states and the United Kingdom.
The museum itself, is celebrated for its magnificent collection of decorative arts including historic American quilts, pieces of Shaker furniture, magnificent folk art sculptures and paintings as well as Native American objects and Renaissance maps of the New World.
Hosting a variety of events over the year, there is always something for everyone to enjoy at the American Museum, which is the only museum of Americana outside the States itself.
