  • Manhole covers stolen and sold for scrap

    Manhole and drain covers are being stolen and sold for scrap
    Motorists and pedestrians are being warned to be careful after more than 30 man-hole covers were stolen in towns and villages near  Midsomer Norton. The thefts occurred in Frome, Mells and Nunny and it is believed they will be sold for their scrap metal value.  Members of the public are to be cautious and report any suspicious activity.

    An appeal has gone up in Midsomer Norton after a pair of guinea pigs and their hutch were stolen.  Grace and Max Watts are appealing for the return of  their two pets which were taken from their home in Foxcote on April 20. The missing guinea pigs are Bubble and Sqeak and even though these aren't the actual pictures of the pair, they are similar. If you have any information, please call 01373 834910.

    After a day of trying, l finally I managed to get onto the crime map website to see how Midsomer Norton scores. The website proved so popular when it was launched yesterday it crashed In all, there was 99 crimes and ASB in December There were six burglaries, 57 anti-social behaviour cases, no robberies, two vehicle crimes, seven violent crimes and 27 other crimes such as criminal damage, shoplifting and drug offences.
