Asbestos and Chew Valley Lake. Has anyone else seen report of the B&NES councillors decision to grant planning application to dump asbestos waste in a quarry near the lake, against the request of Bristol Water? It sounds horrific. Try this link for more details. http://tinyurl.com/3h6e6m7

From what I have read on various internet sites, many of the pipes that carry our water contain asbestos and this is filtered. But I agree, I don't like the idea knowing more asbestos could enter our water system if dumped next to Chew Valley Lake.
