Cycle link from Midsomer Norton to Farrington

Has anyone heard about this campaign to create a cycle path between Midsomer Norton and Farrington?
Apparently it would start behind Tesco.
I think it would be a great idea, not just for cyclists but pedestrians too. The number of times i'm driving along that road and I see young kids walking along it where there's no pavement.

How can we join the campaign? What can we do to force BANES to listen to us? they're always going on about us using public transport but it's so expensive and there isn't a regular bus route through Farrington Gurney?
