Somer Valley FM, the local Community Radio Station has something for everyone when it comes to music.

The station is on the air 24/7 and live from lunchtime every day till after 10pm. You can listen to pop, rock, jazz, folk, blues, indie, reggae, world music, classical, oldies, country and techno. All these genres can be found in the growing schedule of programmes put together by non-professional volunteer producers and presenters who have been trained by the station staff (and some seasoned volunteers too) in the skills of radio production.

We are here for your entertainment, education and communication needs across the region, which covers an area of Wansdyke about 8 miles around our transmitter at the heart of Midsomer Norton.

Here’s a selection of specialist music programmes currently going out on Somer Valley FM. If you want to contribute your own programme, we’ll make that happen, even if you’ve never been into a radio station before!

For information about all our programmes - speech and music-based, or check out the Somer Valley website (tinyurl.com/nqwgeg).
