Has anyone herd anything about the litter pick the Town Council are organising for 8th January. Perhaps they will be putting out more publicity this week. I wish we could do something about the folk who chuck their cans etc down on the ground even when a bin is nearby. They expect others to clean up after them, they do not have any pride in their environment and go around with their eyes shut. I have noticed that over the festive period the litter has been accumulating and it doesn't have to be like that if people would only take their rubbish home our town would look tidy. What do others think?

Hey LucyE, It looks as if the Big Tidy Up for Midsomer Norton will be this Sunday from 10am to noon and 2-4pm. Volunteers can meet outside the Town Hall and are asked to come prepared with their own gloves, strong footwear and appropriate clothing. Those hoping to attend should contact Michael Curry on 01761 418701.

Thank you for the info Carla ..The litter pick was a great success with a pile of bags for the council to collect.. This says something about us as a society when we throw unwanted items on the ground instead of either taking our rubbish home or putting it in a bin..We should be ashamed!
