It is a pity that more people don't turn out to support local fund-raising events. I took my granddaughter to watch the annual( Lions) duck race on our newly spruced up river.Despite miserable weather, it was great fun to watch. Don't all the moaners & groaners in our town realise that if we support these kind of events, it can only help to strengthen the community spirit that is so badly needed to get us through these difficult times. So next time you see a local event, come along & support it- who knows, you may even enjoy it !
