Is it true that B@NES has rejected Jacaranda's application to expand into the empty Card Market shop next door?

I had heard that too. Real shame if thats the case. With so many shops closing it seems ridiculous to stop a business from expanding. Would the council prefer it be left empty and an eyesore??

I know there's been a coffee shop recently open and another on the way..and today I heard the BBC refer to our current clime as being the "coffee shop culture". I've been waiting for the Fred Barletts coffee shop to open....(The Coco Lounge) and I would frequent Jacqurandas more but it's always full and seating is limited. I can't believe B@NES would stop a successful business from expanding. It just doesn't make sense!

yes i think it would be great if Jacarandas expanded it would give them so much more room and space, its a lovely coffee shop and I enjoy there cakes tea and the staff are really nice. would be great if they did expand i hope they do get the go ahead. perhaps a petition would be a good idea. :-)

Yes, so B&NES lets leave yet another building in the area to rot away while we turn away prospective businesses... maybe jacarandas should scoot over the road to where paperwork plus was...plenty of space in there!!

yes i really hope they expand they would def have more space if they did this. its a nice coffee shop nice cakes and the staff are friendly too. :-) i rekon they will get the go ahead keeping my fingers crossed. :-)

trouble is there are too many cafes in Norton, in this time of a recession can people afford to keep eatin g out or going for coffees??

To be honest it would also be nice if Jacarandas let you walk out with both arms and legs instead of charging them for that delicious coffee... :P
