Last year significant effort was used to rip up the A367 Wellsway/Fosseway, at significant disruption to local residents and local businesses. However, we were all left with a beautifully smooth, well laid road.

However, on visiting my parents the other day I noticed that a gas company need to do essential planned renewal work.

I know it's easy to criticise road works, but surely they must have known about it last year and could have brought it forward?

I just fear that the lovely smooth surface that was done at great effort and expense will now be just as bumpy as the old surface.
