With money being tight, are Midsomer Norton residents thinking twice about which charities to support?

I’ve always been told charity starts at home and have tried to support local charities, but now with disasters and revolutions popping up all over the world, are you thinking about where you wish your money to go?

We’ve recently had Red Nose Day which raised a record amount and there are fundraisers and organisations appealing to residents  to aid others in crisis.

Next month, a free concert will be held in Midsomer Norton to raise money for charities in Kenya and Romania.

Somerset-based band The Connection will put on a free concert at 7.30pm on Saturday 9 April at Somervale School and will present an evening of pop, blues, rock and Christian music. Donations on the night will be split between Team Romania and Kanyawegi Children's Home

For your free ticket contact Keith Rudyard on 01749 670256 or email rudyard86@tiscali.co.uk

The Lions Club, which is a worldwide voluntary community service organisation is looking for more members. It is open to both men and women and if you’d like to join contact Alan on 0845 8339601 or visit the Lions’ Club website

Which charities do you support? Are they local or worldwide? Let us know. Include a link in your posting to ensure you publicise your worthy cause.

I haven't got much money to spare but if anyone wants a tarot reader at their fund raiser,I'd be happy to offer my services .I can do the full ' dressed up ' bit or be normal, but to be honest there's not much difference!!!
Any polite enquiries are very welcome on either my email
moonmaid@btinterenet.com or on my mobile 07870885756

    Dare to be different!
