After a day of trying, l finally I managed to get onto the crime map website to see how Midsomer Norton scores. The website proved so popular when it was launched yesterday it crashed

In all, there was 99 crimes and ASB in December

There were six burglaries, 57 anti-social behaviour cases, no robberies, two vehicle crimes, seven violent crimes and 27 other crimes such as criminal damage, shoplifting and drug offences.

The High Street was the highest scoring place in the town with 12 crimes committed, two ASBs, eight other crimes, one violent crime and one burglary.

So according the the website, the other crime hotspots in Midsomer Norton are on or near, South View Place with eight crimes, followed by Bryant Avenue with seven crimes, Elm View with six and Alder Terrance, Church Court and Wesley Road with four.

Is your home located in one of these crime hotspots? How do you feel about it? Do you think this website will spur people into action to tackle crime in their neighbourhood or will it put off homebuyers? Did it make you feel better about crime in your area?

Let us know.

It's reassuring to see that 12 crimes counts as a hot spot in Midsomer Norton. We're lucky that crime is so low here. A sign of a good community, IMHO
