Volunteer with local Charity Time2Share

Hello, we are a local charity called Time2Share. We are currently looking to recruit volunteers from the area to spend a couple of hours a week befriending a disabled child. No experience is necessary as initial induction training is provided (we re-inburse any travel expense incurred) and will also support you throughout your befriending relationship. We match on mutual hobbies and interests and the scheme is very flexible working around what's best you and the family. Disabled children can often be extremely isolated, with no friends of their own so befriending really is an opportunity for children to have an independent social life and a sense they have someone who comes to spend time just with them. It also gives parents / carers a chance to have a well deserved break for a couple of hours!
