Airline woes and worries

Having worried all weekend and yesterday that  my flight to the States would be marred by a strike at Heathrow, I’m delighted to see it’s not going to happen. 

But I still feel a bit hard done by as I’ve just gone on the the British Airways website to book my seat (which you used to could do in advance) and I’m told to do so I have to pay £20 extra each way! 

So now I have to wait 24 hours before my flight to book a seat for free. The other surprise is there is no longer a special diet selection service offered on the website, and having been on Carole Vorderman’s Detox diet for the past two months.....I don’t want to pollute myself with the “chicken or beef” option. 

It wouldn’t be so bad, but this flight is costing double what I used to pay....so I guess I shall just have to consume large amounts of the complimentary drinks to ensure I get my money’s worth!
