Midsomer Norton garden waste collection - a waste of my time, energy & money

Does anyone else in Midsomer Norton have to kick up a fuss to get their garden waste collected?

Last week Sedgemoor District Council which  sent out 8,700 invoices to garden waste collection customers to confirm their agreement to the new prices and arrange payment to ensure continuation of collections from April. And I gather B&NES will do the same soon.

However I’m not going to bother to renew ours, as our garden waste is never collected.  Having had the green wheelie bin for nearly a year, it’s only been collected three times and that’s after we had to call the council to complain.

Yesterday it wasn’t collected and it was out by 7am (infact it’s alway out).

I wonder how long it will take them to come and collect it. I’ve filled in the form on the council website and reported it by 5.30pm the day after collection.

Care to make a bet on when it does get collected?

We cannot do without our garden waste colection and it is collected regularly, it's the refuse collection that gets left behind , fingers crossed this year they haven't missed.

Hurrah....garden waste collected today...only a day after council says it will be collected...but at least it's gone and I don't have to look at an overflowing bin! Thanks B&NES will call you again when it needs collecting!
