With Christmas approaching, it looks as if the con artists and computer hackers are on the prowl.

Computer virus warning
Today I received an official looking email from DHL saying they were unable to deliver a package to me due to an insufficient address.
As many of us, now doubt will be expecting parcels to arrive by post, it would have easily fooled me. However, as it was sent to a rarely used email address, I knew something was fishy.
Sure enough I looked on the Scam Detectives website, which advised: “Don’t open the attachment and delete the email immediately.
If you open the file inside the attachment you will be infected by a “backdoor Trojan horse”, which will attempt to take control of your PC.
“If you think that you should have received a delivery and haven’t, contact your local courier depot, who will be able to advise you as to the status of your delivery, or use the official DHL website to track your parcel online.”
The scammers also pose at Parcel Force, UPS and TNT.
