The Met Office is warnings more snow is headed our way tonight and tomorrow.

The cold temperatures look set to continue for the rest of the week.

B@NES’ Highways Service is carrying out a full gritting run tonight and says that the light snow will not cause significant disruption of the highway network.

Currently, the Council has 750 tonnes of grit in stock, with a further 1000 tonnes due for delivery in the next few days. However, freezing temperatures are forecast for the whole week and gritters are expected to be out every night this week.

Minor roads and side streets are not salted and road temperatures are likely to hover around freezing for most of the week. Drivers should take extra care due to the risk of black ice.
