This year has been a dreadful one for those going on holiday.

After the volcanic ash grounded flights in the UK and Europe, British Airways cabin crew have begun their five-day strike today in their long-running dispute over jobs and pay.

The disruption is expected to be confined to some flights in and out of London's Heathrow airport, but Gatwick and London City will be business as usual.

Has your holiday plans been ruined by the latest BA strike or is it going ahead without a hitch? Let us know.

I am very wary about flying as even the slightest risk of volcanic ash would have me fretting the whole flight.
There's been several foreign plane crashes lately which makes me wonder if any of the ash could have been responsible.
Some friends left on Sunday for Thailand. They were due to fly into Bangkok, but with all the riots they had to change their honeymoon plans. So it's not just flight disruptions that are interfering with holidaymakers' plans.
