Digital TV Switchover is here!
-
If you need help with Digital Switchover - this is for you.
After next month, if you don’t get your tv through Sky or a Freeview digibox, you won’t be able to watch tv. Another way of looking at it is - can you get more than 5 channels of TV? If so, you are almost certainly receiving digital tv, so don't worry - you won't have to do a thing!
From Sunday, Somer Valley FM 97.5 is running a series of announcements and interviews to tell you about help you can get with the digital switchover that takes place in this area in March.
If you are 75 or over, registered blind or partially sighted or eligible for disability benefits you will have been sent an information pack already – but it came last year, so it’s possible you’ve mislaid it. To get another information pack or ask about having your TV converted for free, call 0800 40 87 656.
If you’re not eligible, it will cost you £40 if you’re not ‘digital ready’ for someone to come and set you up with a digi box and check your aerial.
Perhaps someone you know can help you to switch over to digital, if you don’t have Sky or a freeview box. Tune in to 97.5FM from 7th February onwards to find out more.
