A Christmas event aimed at boosting trade for businesses on Midsomer Norton’s High Street will go ahead for a second year in a row.

Real reindeers and Santa will join panto characters and carol singers as traders show the public just what is on offer to shoppers in the town during the evening event on Friday, December 3.

Members of the Midsomer Norton and Radstock Chamber of Commerce decided at a meeting last week to start organising the event following their success with last year’s Christmas Lantern Fayre, which brought in around 3,500 visitors to the town.

Chamber chairman, Paul Myers, encouraged all traders with businesses on the High Street to get together and organise the event.

He said he would be contacting every business on the High Street to ask for their support.
