Horse thieves active in Midsomer Norton

It seems that horse thieves are targeting the Midsomer Norton area. A notice was put up along the Greenway asking walkers to be on the lookout for any suspicious behaviour.

It seems the thieves are marking a horse for theft by braiding its mane or leaving a visible marking like a pile of stones near the paddock. According to the notice the horses are being sold for slaughter.

The notice asks anyone seeing suspcious actions in the are to phone 001454 567000 or 01761 419417.
