Midsomer Norton to lose High Street shop

After only six months, a Midsomer Norton shop and tanning salon is closing, having undergone two name changes and re-branding.

Going out of business in April

Located at 10 High Street, the shop opened two years ago and was called 3 Islands which sold women’s accessories and housed a tanning salon. However last August the shop closed and re-opened as “?”, then a few months later as ‘Nice’ selling cosmetics, beauty products and fashion aimed at youngsters, and the tanning salon remained.

However, the owners are now calling it day and will be shutting shop when the lease runs out in April.

It is currently selling off all of its stock at 50 per cent off.

Where is Paul Myers and his Midsomer Norton Traders? Is he doing anything about this , or talking about flower pots and Bloom. Another shop shut in Midsomer Norton and Radstock Town Traders leader, Keith Pate, has so much confidence in Radstock that he has announced he is leaving Radstock. Yet he has Somer Valley Partnership to fall back on. Another Banes QUANGO TALKS ABOUT EVERYTHING, but does nothing.

Paul Myers wants a seperate Town Council for Midsomer Norton, Radstock and Westfield. His vision will fail within 5 years.

It's always sad to see another independent trader pack up. I suppose it's a sign of the times. Beauty products and tanning salons are a bit of a luxury to most people, and luxuries are always first for the chop when money's tight.
