A school in Radstock has become the first in the country to receive an outstanding rating under Ofsted's new inspection structure.
Trinity Primary School won the award after years of work following its opening in 2005. Head teacher Pepe Rahman-Hart, above, who last year won Teacher of the Year in the Pride of Britain Awards, said: "This is a fantastic achievement for the pupils, parents and staff at our school.
"Our achievement goes beyond the outstanding rating we have received and extends to the excellent comments received from Ofsted.
"The report reflects the pride that the children and parents have in this school, a pride which is evident in their enthusiasm and the determination that all children will achieve to the very best of their ability."
