Well I think we might have had about a millimetre of snow in Midsomer Norton today, but that hasn't stopped people panic-buying at the Tesco stored.

I wandered in for some teabags this evening and the store had sold out of milk and bread, and loads of other shelves were looking pretty empty, too.

A lady I spoke to at the till said the same has been happening at other stores across the UK.

According to the latest Midsomer Norton weather reports we' ve got two days of snow coming, though I'm not sure how bad it will be. The panic-buying at Tesco does seem a bit over-the-top, IMHO.

My neighbour told me she saw a bloke buy the last of the milk at Tesco - and wouldn't even give one pint to an old lady who asked him to share...

Coopslad's last sentence demonstrates just how thin the veneer of "civilisation" is.  In conditions like today's also demonstrates that we've even forgotten what it's like to live in a community.
Coopslad and CarlaGale are also right that this panic buying is way over the top.  People should be ashamed of themselves.

Been told Sainsbury's was cleared out too, and shops in Bath, too, and Keynsham. I think this is an over-reaction
