Thirds' hard work is in vain

This was a hard-fought game, with the scoreline not reflecting the hard work of the Norton team.

They took the game to Keynsham from the off but were punished on the break when the hosts pounced on a couple of early errors.

This seemed to be the nature of the first half until Norton managed to get some reward for the hard work of their forwards.

This gave the backs a bit of time and space to put winger Joe Travetti over in the corner for a try.

The second half was similar, with Norton putting pressure on Keynsham but still making errors that allowed the hosts to pull clear.

Norton did get another deserved try when Will Edgell went over from the back of a lineout. The conversion was added by Tom Hobbs.

On Saturday, Norton travel to Avon.
