for the 1st time since I moved here last year,I've been disgusted by the actions of one unknown couple.last monday I had an accident on my mobility scooter, trying to negotiate the steep incline onto the cycle path from station road.I lost control of my scooter, fell onto the ground with my scooter almost on top of me.To make matters worse I had my little dog with me.I was very shaken up,but luckily was not badly hurt.On the opposite side of the road,a couple of people looked across at me,then carried on walking without bothering to check that I was ok.Thankfully my husband came to my aid,but what if Id been injured and had no-one to assist me?  On the whole MSN is a very friendly place, but this really put a big blot on the town. If the people concerned see this THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED !

I wonder just how many people would stop if they saw someone in distress? As a first aider, I would stop at the scene of an accident  or if someone needed help, but as your experience shows, and past incidents like the Jamie Bulger case where the child was seen crying and in distress, no one challenged the two boys with him. What has happened to our society? Are we worried that we'll be sued or make someone angry if we try to help? Mind you I was in Bath the other night and a person had fallen on the kerb and was lying in the road. When a woman and man approached to help they were met by abuse from the "drunken companion" who started swearing at the onlookers and helpers.
