Are you aware of park plan?

An open letter to the people of Paulton.
Are you aware that a meeting has taken place between the Trustees of Paulton Memorial Park (ie Paulton Parish Council) and Bath and North East Somerset Council to discuss the leasing of part of the Memorial Park to the council for a period of 50 years, allowing them to put a building on the site?
A public meeting has already taken place between the trustees and mainly local residents directly affected by the development of the site.
However, once the views of this meeting are analysed, another public meeting is promised.
We need to remember our forefathers gave by public subscription to secure this area in the centre of our village, for a Memorial Park remembering the fallen of the two world wars.
If you concur with our forefathers' principles, I suggest you attend the next meeting at the village hall. Watch the parish notice boards for date and time.

I totally agree with Mr Hamblin on the proposed development and enjoy taking my kids to the park. As a local Joiner I have recieved no less than 2 offers of invite to tender for the above, from various building firms. In my mind it has gone a little bit further than just talks about leasing the land. I wonder if this is common knowledge.
