The Canon eos 500D is a fantastic camera! The secret to getting the best out of it is to stop using the Auto and other preset modes as soon as possible - Aperture priority tends to be your best bet for most occasions, though full manual serves well for studio work.

Hiya I got a Canon eos 500D, but i think it will take me many months to find out what it can do :-) but i am getting in to all of this at a fast pace. I even tried some airbrushing today. I had no idea which camera to go for in the end but the guy at Comet recommended it. Hopfully it is a good one.
Thank you Trucks79! I believe I took all of these with a Canon 400D dslr fitted with a 60mm macro lens. I am currently using a Nikon d700 with a Tamron 90mm macro lens. What camera did you get?
