We walked from Midsomer Norton to Kilmersdon the other day - it's a good hour on the cycle path. Worked up an appetite - the Jolliffe Arms was packed but luckily there was one table spare. We both had roast chicken - really nice, and massive portions! Also treated myself to treacle sponge... A long walk back so felt I deserved it. Definitely worth checking out - but book a table in advance as it gets very busy.

You couldn't ask for a nicer pub! Lovely food, friendly staff and a warm welcome. Always a lovely visit. Would put 5 stars but website won't let me??!!

ReportWe love getting on our bikes and using the cycle path from Midsomer Norton to get to this pub in Kilmersdon (famous for being the home of Jack and Jill Hill, which inspired the nursery rhyme). The Joliffe Arms is a great traditional Somerset pub - skittles, ciders, great local crowd, and also good food. I've been there a few times, mostly on a Sunday for the roast. Quality of food is good, and the portions are massive! Could have rolled me down the hill afterwards, but alas had to get on the bike and cycle back home...
